RESOLUTION REGARDING USE OF POCS INFORMATION

Whereas, by law persons are required to provide certain information regarding proposed excavation to POCS, and
 

Whereas, the information provided to POCS is subsequently provided to POCS’ members or their agents, and

Whereas, this information is provided to members for purposed consistent with compliance with the law, and

Whereas, POCS considers that the use by or transfer of such information to third parties for purposes other than those envisioned by law may have serious negative consequences,

Now therefore, the Board resolves that no member nor agent of any member shall use the information provided to it by POCS for any purpose other than identifying, locating or marking the facilities of the member receiving the information, or as otherwise envisioned by law, and no member nor agent of a member shall use such information for any competitive purpose or any purpose inimical to the interests of POCS.
