BIG NEWS THIS YEAR CONFERENCE DAY SESSIONS
Our 2020 Safety Day conferences will offer a training track to follow the process from start to end. The track will include:

Module #1 - 7:30 am-8:20 am
Project Owner Requirements & Coordinate PA

This session teaches all stakeholders about the beginning process of a Complex Project for underground excavation. Learn about the requirements Project Owners have in the One Call law. In addition, this session will teach you how a Project Owner enters a project in Pennsylvania 811’s Coordinate PA (CPA) application. CPA, the next generation of utility coordination, is an application that gives Project Owners the ability to coordinate their underground excavation projects with other project owners, designers, excavators and facility owners. The goal is to help maximize the benefits of shared costs and much more; combines with the ongoing efforts to prevent damage to underground utilities. CPA also enables users to add and/or import existing projects, coordinate opportunities with others who want to collaborate, share project communications with designated contacts, and notify facility owners at any stage of a project.

Module #2 - 8:30 am-9:20 am
Designer Requirements & Coordinate PA

This session teaches all stakeholders about the Design process of a Complex Project for underground excavation. Learn about the requirements Designers have in the One Call law. Plus, this session will also teach you how a Designer gets the Complex Project from the Project Owner via Coordinate PA (CPA) and learn how to create a preliminary and final Design Notification through CPA. Learn how a Designer transfers the Complex Project to the Excavator via CPA.

Module #3 - 9:30 am-10:20 am
Excavator Requirements & Complex Project in Coordinate PA

This session highlights the requirements Excavators have with a Complex Project. This session provides an in-depth presentation about complex project notification tickets: what they are, how an excavator creates one, how a facility owner responds to one, and the obligations to meet about a complex project and the complex project tickets. Also, learn how to request a Complex Project notification for the pre-construction meeting with underground facility owners to plan the locate schedule for your Complex Project.

Module #4 - 10:30 am-11:20 am
Complex Project Pre-Construction Meetings

This session will be an actual demonstration on how to conduct an effective pre-construction meeting. Learn how to utilize Coordinate PA (CPA) to create notes from the meeting and to document the agreed-upon locate schedule for your complex project. In addition, you will learn the requirements of all stakeholders involved in the Complex Project process.
