Pennsylvania One Call System, Inc. is a non-profit safety program for excavators and utility companies. We are seeking dependable people to staff our inbound call center located near Century III Mall.  Hiring for full-time positions of 3:00 pm-11:30 pm. Candidates must be able work weekends and rotate working holidays.  

Requirements: The position includes extensive telephone work and data entry in an inbound call center environment. The successful candidate must be able to type 50 WPM, have PC Knowledge, the ability to handle multiple tasks and have excellent Spelling, Listening, Communication and Customer Service Skills.

Great starting wage of $15.14/hr!

Qualifications: Must live within 25 miles of Scranton, PA, and possess:

  • Demonstrated outbound telephone skills,
  • Demonstrated effective public speaking and presentation skills,
  • Valid driver’s license & own vehicle capable of transporting self and materials required at trade shows, training sessions, and presentations;
  • Basic computer skills;
  • Utility industry experience is a plus.

Education:  Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.

Key Responsibilities: This is a full time position with company benefits.  The successful candidate will:  

  • Proactively contact 500 members each year to discuss services;
  • Proactively prospect and solicit new members for our services;
  • Provide assistance and service to prospective and existing members;
  • Conduct training sessions, presentations and outreach to educate contractors, underground facility owners, designers and engineers on the Call Before You Dig program; 
  • Solicit sponsorships from members and local companies for events, and
  • Staff trade shows to promote corporation products and services.

The Workstation Technician role is to support and maintain in-house computer systems, workstations, laptops and peripherals; as well as provide a single point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance within the organization’s desktop computing environment. 

This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all software, hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and assistance where required.
